with a light bulb) of the winning entry of the lower secondary
student, Fung Lim Fung of SMK Sung Siew, Sandakan and incorporating
other features after close consultation with Datuk Yaman Mus,
Director of Sabah Art Gallery. The SINDEX Organizing Committee
finally approved and adopted the logo from 12 various designs
during its meeting held on 25 May 2000.

science and technology to benefit mankind. |
| Bright
and contrast colours are used to signify our vibrant and dynamic
new generation. The bright colours mean the bright side of the
science and technology that better our life. Warm colours used
are red and yellow. Warm colours speed up our perception of
time and produce feelings that are warm, cozy, and inviting.
These colours are associated with happiness and comfort. Cool

courage and fire. Yellow produces sensations of brightness and
warmth. It is a spiritual colour that is the symbol of radiant
goodness. Blue stands for heaven, divinity, and divine love.

In other perception blue colour means technology… or hi-tech.
