The vision of the SITC is to create an information-rich society and a knowledge-driven economy in line with the aspirations of the Outline Perspective Plan of Sabah and Vision 2020.
In this respect, the mission of the SITC is to enhance the international competitiveness of Sabah through the strategic application and development of information technology.
The main objectives of the SITC are:
to ensure the optimum utilisation of IT in increasing the international competitiveness of Sabah’s economy
to transform the operations of the public sector through strategic deployment of IT in order to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of its delivery of services as well as to ensure that development objectives are met
to ensure that the benefits of IT deployment reach the widest spectrum of the populace
to develop a resilient IT industry in Sabah with strong indigenous R&D capacities
