SEDCO also provides supporting facilities to the tourism industries by investing in two hotel-related companies. The first operates a city hotel while the other specializes in resort hotel.

SEDCO has been involved in Sabah's tourism related industry since 1976 when it acquired the Kinabalu International Hotel Sdn Bhd. The company owns the 288-room Hyatt Regency Kinabalu, a business hotel located at the seafront of Kota Kinabalu, right in the heart of the city's business, shopping and entertainment districts.

Perkasa Hotel Holdings Sdn Bhd was set up in 1979 to help promoting tourism development in the rural towns. It currently has resorts in Kundasang, at the foot of Mt.Kinabalu; and in Keningau, in the interior part of the State. Another hotel will also be open in Kota Kinabalu, part of the company's plan to expand its network into a statewide hotel chain.

IIB Insurance Brokers Sdn Bhd was established in 1997 with insurance consultancy as its principal activity. The company aspired to provide efficient and reliable insurance consultancy services to the corporate sector in Sabah and Malaysia.
