SYARAT-SYARAT KHAS
1.
Semua Tilam, Bantal, Dan Kusyen dengan pembalut yang
ditawarkan hendaklah memenuhi spesifikasi seperti di Lampiran A dan A1, baru
dan bermutu baik.
2.
Semua jenis tilam yang ditawarkan hendaklah dari buatan
tempatan sahaja melainkan barang-barang yang tidak diperoleh dari sumber-sumber
tempatan.
3.
Pembelian adalah secara runcit (retail purchase) dan
kontraktor yang berjaya hendaklah mempunyai stok yang mencukupi.
4.
Semua harga yang ditawarkan hendaklah termasuk semua
jenis cukai Kerajaan dan kos penghantaran /penyerahan.
5.
Semua tilam, bantal dan kusyen yang dihantar mestilah
dibungkus dengan menggunakan plastik.

SPECIFICATION FOR FOAM RUBBER PRODUCT
1.
Types
of foam rubber products requires include mattresses
and pillow. They shall comply with the Malaysia Specification for latex Foam
Rubber mattresses for Domestic and General Use MS 679 :
1980 by Standards and Industrial Research Institute of Malaysian (SIRIM).
2.
Appearance
a) Colour is white
b)
c) All items should be fully moulded throughout and free from any visual and defect
3.
Hardness
a) All mattresses will be supplied in medium
density
b) All pillows will also be supplied in soft
density
The hardness index for the products as
tested by a prescribed method may be laid down as follows:
Mattresses
10.2
to 17.2
Pillows
Less than 10.2
4.
Material
Latex foam rubber shal
be made directly from a latex of any type together with any suitable
compounding ingredients by making a foam, causing it to set, and adequately
vulcanizing it to produce a permeable cellular rubber of substantially
interconnected cells.
The foam rubber shall not include any
ingredient known to be injurious to persons with whom it may come into
contact. Component ingredients shall be
free grit or coarse particles.

Latex foam mattresses shall be either
directly moulded or otherwise shaped or built
up. They may or may not have cavities moulded or otherwise produced in them. If the mattresses is build up
, all joints shall be at least as strong as the late foam rubber itself. Any odour
shall be as slight as possible and shall be unobjectionable. The surface shall generally smooth without
undue blemishes.
5.
Design
The design of all products shall be
arrived at bay scientific consideration ang
calculations. The product shall have
cavities on the underside of suitable shape, size and arrangement or to give
the physical properties and standard of comfort required.
6.
Covering
The quality of the material should be
such that adequate protection is afforded to the foam rubber interior and the
material should possess hard wearing properties . The cover could be easily taken out washed and to be
used again without damaging the foam and cover.
Covering material should be pre-shrunk

7. Sample
and Test Certificate
a) All sample are to be tested by Standard
and Industrial Research Institute of Malaysia (SIRIM) or by Malaysia Rubber Board
(MRB) or any other competent
testing agencies approved by Government. The test is to be made
in accordance with the procedures and limits laid down in MS 679:1980 to
determine the hardness index, fatigue loss compression set and the dynamic
compression, tensile strength, elongation at break, and the contents of ash,
copper and manganese.
