Sabah ICT Fiesta 2007 – PC Fair and Exhibition
For the first time in Sabah, the State Government, through the State IT Advancement Unit of the Ministry of Resource Development and IT is jointly organising the Sabah ICT Fiesta 2007 with the Sabah Computer Society. The Fiesta combines a PC Fair with an exhibition. It is one of the many activities that have been planned for the Sabah ICT Month 2007.
The Fiesta is organised as a result of numerous requests from local private companies on the lack of such events held specifically for the local companies. The Sabah Computer Society, being the NGO looking after the welfare of the local ICT industry, took up the challenge and proposed the joint organisation of this Fiesta.
Specifically, the objectives of the Fiesta are:
l to provide an avenue for the local companies to introduce and promote their latest products/services
l to provide an avenue for the general public to have the opportunity to find good bargains on ICT products and services
All 43 booths have been subscribed by 26 private companies and 4 government agencies. The list of exhibitors is attached in Appendix I for reference.
The Sabah ICT Fiesta 2007 will be held at the Sabah Trade Centre on 23-25 November 2007 from 10:00 am to 9:00 pm. The public is encouraged to visit the Fiesta in support of our local vendors.
Registered visitors will have the chance to win lucky draw prizes on an hourly basis. The main prize is a unit of PC with LCD screen sponsored by Acer. At the same time, you can also print your digital photos, up to A3 size, while contributing to charity. So, please bring along your pen drive (with your favourite photos) or digital camera while visiting the Fiesta.
