His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah bestowing the Most Honourable Order of Seri Paduka Makhota Brunei (SPMB) First Class which carries the title Dato Seri Paduka to Sabah Chief Minister Datuk Seri Panglima Musa Haji Aman. The award ceremony in conjunction with the Sultan of Brunei 66th birthday was held at Nurul Iman Palace in Bandar Seri Begawan on Sunday.

Chief Minister Datuk Seri Panglima Musa Hj. Aman said the cooperation between NGOs and the Government was important to the successful development of Sabah and the prevailing peace and harmony in the State.

He said NGOs such as Chinese Associations were vital stakeholders and had a role to play in nation building and in the development of the state through their contribution of ideas, feedback and voluntary efforts toward charitable causes.

"I have always said that I alone cannot develop Sabah. I need the help of my colleagues in the BN, the civils service and NGOs including the Chinese associations," he said when meeting members of the Federation of the Hakka Associations, Sabah and Labuan and the Federation of the Hokkien Associations, Sabah and Labuan at the State Legislative Assembly Building today.

Musa said a government must be administer well, practised prudent spending, be efficient and transparent if it were to create a climate that would attract investors to a state.

"If the government was not managed well, there would be instability and nobody would want to come to Sabah and do business," he said.

He therefore urged for all the Chinese Associations to close ranks among each other and cooperate with the government and bring greater development prosperity to Sabah.

President of the Federation of Hokkien Associations of Sabah and Labuan, Datuk TC Goh led 22 association presidents while the President of the Federation of Hakka Associations, Sabah and Labuan, Datuk Jimmy Tham came with 13 association presidents from throughout Sabah.

Goh said the present State Government under the leadership of Musa has performed well, bringing unprecedented development to Sabah and its economy.

"We in the Federation therefore give the Chief Minister 101 percent support for him to continue to lead the government," he said.

Meanwhile, Jimmy said the Hakka Community was thankful for the attention that the State Government has been giving to Chinese schools and temples for a number of years.

"The State Government under Datuk Musa has been taking care such needs. He has been attentive and generous. We therefore support his leadership," he said.

Since Musa took office, some RM30 millions has been disbursed yearly to over 500 organisations comprising Independent Chinese and mission schools, Chinese and Sikh temples and churches.

Chief Minister Datuk Seri Panglima Musa Haji Aman posing for a group shot with members pf the Sabah Independent Secondary Schools Association ( Sabah Dong Zong) led by its chairman Tan Sri Andrew Liew.

Some ten members comprising school chairmans from Kota Kinabalu, Kudat, Tawau, Lahad Datu, Papar, Beaufort, Tenom and Sandakan updated the Chief Minister on the activities and discussed issues affecting the association. Andrew on behalf of the association pledge his support for the Stet Government led by Musa. Chairman of Tshung Tsin Secondary School, Datuk Yong Kyok Ming said the Sabah State Government has been very fair to the Chinese schools in the state.

"The Chief Minister has been very generous to our school and supportive of our causes," he said. Yong also briefed Musa on Tshung Tsin School Building Fund Raising effort. To date the State Government has donated RM 2 million and through Musa's support, otganisation and individuals have sponsored RM 1.3 million towards the building fund. "I know how important education is to the Chinese community. That is why the State Government allocates millions yearly to Independent Chinese and Missions school as well as temple and churches."

Majlis Penyampaian Sumbangan DUN Sungai Sibuga

26 JULAI 2012 : KM: SYUKURI NIKMAT KEAMANAN DAN KEHARMONIAN YANG KITA KECAPI

Sandakan: Ketua Menteri Sabah Y.A.B. Datuk Seri Panglima Musa Haji Aman mengajak rakyat mensyukuri nikmat keamanan dan kemakmuran yang dinikmati.

Tegasnya, hasil daripada keamanan dan kemakmuran yang dinikmati, rakyat bukan sahaja dapat menjalani ibadah puasa dengan sempurna dan selesa, malah mampu meraikannya dengan rakyat berbilang kaum dan agama di negeri ini.

Beliau berada di sini untuk menghadiri Majlis penyampaian bantuan di bawah kawasan DUN Sungai Sibuga iatu di Masjid Nurul Ihsan Kampung Kenangan Manis, Masjid Raya Seri Aman Rancangan Sungai Manila dan Masjid Nur Islam Kampung Batu Putih.

Pada majlis tersebut, Musa telah menyampaikan sumbangan daripada Pusat Zakat Sabah berupa al-Quran, Surah Yasin dan permaidani kepada masjid-masjid di sini.

Beliau juga telah menyampaikan sumbangan kepada golongan yang memerlukan seperti warga emas, anak-anak yatim, ibu tunggal, orang kelainan upaya dan fakir miskin.

Justeru, beliau berharap agar rakyat menghargai pengorbanan dan sumbangan yang telah diberikan oleh kerajaan dengan menterjemahkannya ke dalam bentuk sokongan padu yang tidak berbelah bahagi kepada kerajaan.
