The Artist

I love to draw and paint ever since I was very small. Even in class during my school days I was forever doodling on the edges of my school books and of course its no surprise that my favorite exam was art. Without doubt, the drawing painting skills that I have, have been a gradual improvement process and progress from drawing stick like figures in primary school to more complex and 3D subjects and now I can and will tackle any subjects whether flowers, nature studies, portraits, figures, scenarios, objects etc. I find great joy and pleasure in painting and also find therapeutic and stress reliever. When mixing and experimenting with colours I'm amazed that the resulting mix tends to stick in my mind to be recalled whenever the need to paint arises. So far I have painted in water colour and oil and gave yet to branch out into Acrylic, pastel and other mediums, so my learning process will always be ongoing. Anything that catches my attention can be a source of inspiration. My heroes in art are Van Gogh, Gaughin, Henri-Tolouse Lautrec, Constable, Monet, Degas and many more whose styles I truly admire.
